Chambers Europe 2021 ranks ELLINT members amongst leading Employment & Labor Law Firms

ELLINT’s members are again ranked as leading Employment & Labor Law Firms & Lawyers by Chambers Europe 2021, the independent international guide to lawyers and law firms around the world. In their words:

BELGIUM

Olivier Rijckaert of ELLINT’s member firm Sotra is ranked in Band 3 for labor lawyers in Belgium.

Chambers Europe states that Olivier Rijckaert advises clients on the transfer of employees and on social elections, as well as representing clients in litigation, inspections and industrial disputes. A client praises his “high knowledge in labour legislation.”

DENMARK

Mette Klingsten of Copenhagen-based employment law boutique Mette Klingsten Law Firm is ranked in Band 3 of the leading labor lawyers in Denmark.

Chambers states that “Mette Klingsten handles a range of employment mandates, covering both contentious and non-contentious matters. Her services are described as “very high-quality” by sources.”

IRELAND

McInnes Dunne, based in Dublin, is ranked in Band 1 for mainly plaintiff work in Ireland by Chambers Europe.

What the team is known for: Boutique employment law firm which stands out as a leading team for plaintiff cases. Represents executives and other employees in all employment courts and tribunals.

Strengths: One source finds the firm’s “excellent” practitioners to be “extremely commercial.”

Notable practitioners: John Dunne is ranked in Band 2 for practitioners in Ireland by Chambers Europe. The guide says that he is “seen as a key figure in the employment field, with sources noting his experience in mediation. In addition to his handling of individuals’ disputes, Dunne advises on M&A-related employment matters and redundancies.”

Peter McInnes is ranked in Band 1. Chambers Europe notes that Peter “remains a prominent presence in the employment market, having extensive experience in litigation. He is well known for his advice to senior executives on unfair dismissal and discrimination cases.”

ITALY

Lexellent is ranked in Band 5 for labor law advice in Italy by Chambers Europe.

What the team is known for: Assists clients with a variety of employment issues including health and safety, trade union negotiations and collective and individual dismissals. Also advises on related litigation. Offers a broad skill set which includes negotiations with trade unions. Represents national and multinational clients belonging to a range of industry sectors, with notable activity on behalf of those present in the life sciences industry.

Strengths: One client describes the team as “punctual and precise” and appreciates the lawyers’ “availability and concreteness of in the interventions.”

Another interviewee highlights the team’s “business acumen and great empathy with the client.”

Work highlights: Assisted Neronobile with the acquisition of a business unit comprising 83 employees, including negotiations with trade unions and the signing of individual agreements.

LUXEMBOURG

Adam & Bleser is ranked in Band 3 for labor law advice in Luxembourg by Chambers Europe.

What the team is known for: Frequently instructed in employment litigation mandates for a range of clients. Noted for representing employees in contentious labour law cases, including terminations, and representing senior executives in labour disputes.

Strengths: Clients value the firm for being “pragmatic and solution-oriented.”

Notable practitioners: Dominique Farys is ranked in Band 3 for practitioners. The guide notes that she “has a track record representing employees in labour litigation cases and settlement negotiations.”

Romain Adam is ranked in Band 1 for labor law practitioners in Luxembourg. POLAND

Patrycja Zawirska, founder of Zawirska Ruszczyk Gąsior, is ranked in Band 3 for labor law practitioners in Poland.

Chambers Europe states that she is “well regarded for advising corporate clients on a broad range of employment matters”.
