ELLINT’s member in France doubles in size; becomes major player in French labor law market

MGG Legal, a founder member of ELLINT based in Paris, has merged with Voltaire Avocats as of 1 January 2020. The new firm, MGG Voltaire, combines the forces of two leading boutique firms specializing in Employment and Labor Law.

MGG Voltaire is the heir of two highly specialized law firms with longstanding experience in Employment and Labor Law. The team of 25 lawyers offers complementary skills to the combined clients of the new firm. MGG Voltaire has offices in Paris, Lyon and Lille and can rely on its knowledge of territories and a multi-sectorial approach to assist local and foreign players at the time they break ground in France and expand.

Providing capable support to small-sized companies and larger groups in their day-to-day operations, the lawyers of MGG Voltaire are also well-known for the expert support they provide in the management of complex, high-profile and sensitive situations. The practical and technical skills of the firm’s lawyers serve the growth, reinforcement and protection of the firm’s clients.

Multilingual services

MGG Voltaire works exclusively in Labor Law and offers its clients an advanced, technical and multilingual expertise.

The firm stands out for its service offer in particular to foreign businesses, thanks to its thorough understanding of foreign legal cultures and languages (English, German and Spanish) and its active presence in the ELLINT international network.

With their global understanding of all legal challenges, with the assistance of specialized partners from other structures if needed, the lawyers of MGG Voltaire offer a turn-key service to investors.

We are thrilled about this merger. Our two law firms have already been working hand in hand and in harmony for many years, and our respective teams have a great deal of respect and appreciation for each other. We share similar values and working methods, so much that this union feels natural and logical”, declared Marijke Granier-Guillemarre and Loïc Héron, Partners of MGG Legal.

Anne Vincent-Ibarrondo, David Guillouet and François Hubert, partners of Voltaire Avocats outline that “thanks to this merger, we strengthen our tailored offer to address the expectations of our clients. The multi-sectorial and international expertise of our experts will allow the highest level of responsiveness”.

A firm aiming at sustainability

MGG Voltaire wants to give a new meaning to legal practice by taking initiatives in the field of social responsibility.

MGG Voltaire has built a cohesive environmental policy in consultation with its team of Lawyers. Apart from environment-friendly space planning, the willingness to move toward a “paperless” organization and the optimization of the computing and electronic equipment, the Firm has redesigned the way it uses its daily working tools.

Given that these initiatives can only deliver results if they are accompanied by real awareness and full commitment from the entire team, MGG Voltaire promotes a change of habits in the Firm, but also outside, mainly by inciting non-polluting transportation.
