Harassment is a complicated subject full of gray areas and misinformation. When, who, how, where, what — there are so many questions as to what constitutes harassment and what a company’s legal responsibilities are.
Mostly ignored in the past, this topic has recently become “the talk of the town” the more so as the prohibition of sexual harassment, bullying, use of verbal, physical, or psychological violence by employers, superiors and colleagues is regulated for the very first time by the UAE Federal Labor Law.
This session is dedicated to real-world questions that employers have voiced:
☑️Is there any real difference between regular harassment, sexual harassment, moral harassment, psychological harassment and mobbing?
☑️Is there any recent case-law that determines what behaviors are to be considered harassment in the workplace?
☑️When and how do employers have to react to employees harassment complaints?
☑️How can the employer prove that the employee’s harassment complaint is actually fake?
☑️Is it true that harassment in the workplace cannot be prevented?

The HR Roundtable is a networking tool that enables HR Managers from various industries to meet and exchange valuable information with peers in an informal atmosphere. The HR Roundtable not only provides HR Managers an opportunity to share and learn from each other’s experiences, but also helps launch new ideas to improve their personal performance and drive organizational success.
Hosted by Andreea Suciu, the sessions are held on a regular basis at various (informal) locations in Dubai or at the Suciu – EDPL headquarters in Dubai. Access is free of charge and will be by nominal non-transferable invitation only.
