Markus Majer

Markus founded Majer Attorneys in 2023. He is a member of the Helsinki bar and has been focusing exclusively on Finnish employment & labour law since 2012.

Markus particularly enjoys advising non-Finnish clients on HR matters. He has a clear view on the pitfalls and peculiarities of Finnish employment law and understands the specific challenges foreign companies may face in Finland. He believes that understanding common market practice and (legal) cultural differences are key to solving conflicts and to reaching solutions that should be both practical and aligned with business needs.

Before establishing his own legal business, Markus was part of the employment law team of an international law firm based in Helsinki, where he advised both domestic and major international clients on a wide range of employment-related issues. He is bilingual in German and Finnish.
